John Melick III - Partner

John has over 25 years of international telecommunications experience in the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa regions. Prior to co-founding Africa MSI, John pioneered next generation communications services growth worldwide via transoceanic fiber optic cable, satellite communications systems, and data center operations. John was also of the co-founding management team of a global voice and data service provider that grew from a start up to a publicly traded (USA: NYSE) Fortune 1000 company with USD $1+ Billion in annualized revenue, and operations in 14 countries.  Previously, John was an executive at MCI where he was directly responsible for launching the first-ever international digital satellite services for multinational corporations in over ten (10) different countries in Latin America.  John also has pioneered next generation global VoIP technologies, products and services, and has been awarded Frost & Sullivan’s CEO of the Year award for VoIP services.  John holds a B.A. degree from University of Maryland and an M.S. degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
